Whether you live in the Beckley area, or you are traveling through and looking for a church to visit while in town, we invite you to join us. We are conveniently located a mile and a half from Exit 44 off I-77/64.

If you have never been to church before, this can be a difficult decision to make – any attempt to do something new and different is difficult! But we seek to make every visitor feel at home and help you get past the nervousness we all have when we go to a church for the first time. We will do our best to make you feel welcome. Most important to us, we want you to know God and His Word, the Bible.

Our Purpose
Mt. Tabor Baptist Church exists to bring glory to our God and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mt. Tabor Baptist Church desires to “Use God’s Word to Build His Church.”

Worship
The maintenance of regular public worship of the true and living God.

Teaching
The feeding of the flock for the building up of the body of Christ by the teaching of God’s Word and the practice of righteous living.

Evangelism
The promotion of evangelism locally and throughout the world in obedience to Christ’s commission.

Ministries
Children
We have children's ministry every Sunday, as well as Kids4Truth and Vacation Bible School. If you would like the church van to pick up your child for a program, please let us know.
Women
A women's Bible study group is held during the spring and fall, meeting once a week. Other opportunities for fellowship and encouragement include Ladies Missionary Fellowship, Secret Prayer Pals, and the annual Ladies Luncheon.
Men
Men's prayer breakfast meets on the first Saturday morning of each month to fellowship and pray together while sharing meal.
Young Adults
College students and young adults meet together for Sunday School every week. We are glad to have college students join us in ministry and fellowship and welcome them into our church during their time at school.
