Our Pastor
Born and raised in Princeton, our pastor, Michael King, is a native West Virginian. He is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College and Grace Theological Seminary (Indiana).
He ministered in churches in northern Indiana and northeast Florida for about twenty years before returning to West Virginia to become pastor of Mount Tabor Baptist Church in August 1996.
He loves teaching God’s Word, watching WVU football (usually), and enjoying his wife’s cooking.

Pastor King's wife, Miriam, is a graduate of Baptist Bible College (now Clarks Summit University) in Pennsylvania. She served as director of children’s ministries at an Indianapolis church for several years.
At MTBC, she is active in the ladies’, children’s, and music ministries. Miriam enjoys quilting, crocheting, and cooking for her family (and anyone else)!

The Kings have one daughter, Elizabeth, who graduated in 2018 from Cedarville University (Ohio) with a degree in math. Now married, she and her husband live in Rochester, NY, and seek every opportunity to return for visits.
